My compliments of this Christmas season to all members, players and staff at Boroughmuir Rugby.
As Christmas and 2016 are fast approaching we can reflect on a very mixed campaign in the Premiership – having the perfect start and being overtaken by some very close calls in the league.
The magic twos, being called upon for the premiership, finding themselves mid table and the powerful Bears topping their league– played ten- won ten and having fun in the process!
The U/18s are competing well in the Cross Regional National League - 4th from top at the moment, and our youth section is well supported, organised and developed – providing rugby for hordes of very keen children.
This season has seen a significant reduction in spectators at all clubs – some say that this is due to the congestion of the World Cup amongst other reasons and therefore I would urge you to come to support our teams for the remainder of the season, and contribute to our success.
I’m confident that on everyone’s behalf I can assure the coaches, management and players of our strong and faithful support – but we need to show it!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish any of our home or overseas players who will not manage to get home, a very happy Christmas with us here in Edinburgh.
