1st XV vs Lasswade (A)
If the weather holds out we will have great weekend of Muir Rugby.
The 1st XV travel across to Lasswade as part of the Regional Cup. Muir without a game last week will be keen to build back into the flow.
Lasswade is a strong and committed club with some very good young talent. Lasswade will be looking to take a big scalp.
Kick Off 14.30
A few forced changes this week with a few players unavailable.
Rising star Jordan Edmunds receives a start on the wing this week after some great performances with the 2’s. His hard work and commitment has been tracked by the coaches and will be given his chance to shine. Jordan is a product of the great set up and coaching from the Boroughmuir Colts from last season.
Calum Cuister also makes a welcome comeback, brought back in with the hope to inject some experience and grit back into this squad.
The 1st XV Coaches will be under pressure this week to produce a result fitting for the occasion.
With the resent weather holding off games being played, it is expected the Coaches would of used every spare minute to work with the squad, closing off those errors that have cost games and building on those strengths that have shown promise.
Every game is a must win for this squad going forward, past is the time for building confidence and trying new combinations, the focus now has to be on the job on the field.
Nothing less than a complete game will install confidence from the Muir supporters.
