In trust and hope that everyone has had a relaxing Christmas time and would offer my wishes for a happy, prosperous and victorious new year to one and all!
On both the club business and playing front we are striving to achieve the success levels that befit our beloved club and its premiership status. We are, of course, part of a larger Community Sports Club and our endeavours to further the community aspect are bearing fruit – we’ve had encouraging meetings with the schools, hockey and soccer clubs who currently operate at Meggetland.
On the rugby front, though, we have a daunting task to fight our way up the league with six matches remaining. One recent pundit listed Boroughmuir for the ‘automatic drop’ – not very nice! – but this is no time to be nice and to paint a positive, crack free picture.
The future wellbeing of Boroughmuir Rugby will be decided on the playing field in the coming short months. I can assure every man, who pulls on the navy and emerald, of our unwavering support and would encourage every member to give your vocal support at every remaining match –

– four matches at Meggetland, and one each at Goldenacre and Stirling – stand between us and the second string of Scottish rugby.
Generations of rugby men have built our status in Scottish rugby – we must not fail them. They exhibited hard work, courage and passion for this club – we should do likewise – and we can!
Nothing great has been and nothing great can be accomplished without PASSION!
