Boroughmuir Mini Rugby On The Big Stage at Half Time....
The P6 and P4's of both Boroughmuir and Heriots got the opportunity to strut their stuff to a packed crowd, during the half time break in the Boroughmuir v Heriots Premiership match. This is one of the great opportunities the Youth Section has managed to secure this year and gave all the young players a chance to show their excellent rugby skills on the big pitch.
All four teams wasted no time in getting the games under way and both got stuck into the opposition from the start.
The P6’s gave a gritty performance recycling the ball several times, putting in some good passes to win the game 2 tries to nil. Their strong defence ensured a win and they managed to defend superbly against a determined Heriots team. A great exhibition of rugby from both teams.
The P4’s were also very committed and there were a lot of tries from both sides to cheer. The handling and passing was great from both teams and the enjoyment of the occasion was clear to see. The parents were also getting very excited watching their kids display some great skills and will be very proud of all their efforts.
At the end all the players were buzzing with excitement and don’t think wanted to stop playing on the pitch and only came off when the “big boys” returned from their half time interval.
Well done to both teams for giving the Boroughmuir and Heriots spectators some great half time entertainment.
