The Boroughmuir Tartan has been included in the Scottish Register of Tartans and all Boroughmuir associated organisations are joining together for the launch, and you can be involved too!
You are invited to an event to mark the launch of the Boroughmuir Tartan.
After a year of fundraising and with the help of many individuals and organisations, including the Friends of Boroughmuir Trust, the Boroughmuir Schools’ Pipe Band was able to commission a brand new tartan and order full highland dress for each of its members.
The Scottish Tartan Register has recently given the Boroughmuir Tartan the status of official tartan.
This event will be the first time the Pipe Band will play for the School and members of the local community, wearing the Boroughmuir Tartan, and will be a very proud moment for the Band and the School.
The event will take place in the Atrium at Boroughmuir High School, Bruntsfield, on Friday 28th of November.
Refreshments will be served from 10.10 am, followed by a performance by the Pipe Band and the official launch of the tartan at 10.30 am.
