It was a disappointing loss for our guys on Saturday against Gala, going down 3-5.
After what had been a see-saw battle though out the game, seeing the scores 0-0 at half time, it was a Chris Laidlaw penalty that broke the dead lock.
With both teams throwing everything into the game, it was a chance break from Gala that had the final word of the game to score the 5 points.
This leaves Boroughmuir 2nd from the bottom of the table with a maximum of 10 points on offer. This will depend on other results from teams above us in the league.
The players are absolutely gutted about the result but know all too well it is not over for them yet.
Next game will see the 1/4 finals of the BT Cup at Meggetland, as we host Stirling County. This will be just the game the guys will look to win to raise their confidence for the final league games.
Boroughmuir Rugby is about the support in the good and challenging times, so we hope to see as many down for this game as possible to cheer the teams on!

In other results:
Boroughmuir Magic 2s losing to Gala 2nds 11-15.
Boroughmuir Bears travelled to Edinburgh Accies on Saturday. After a long break and have unable to train due to allocation of space, had a rusty game but took a good win 7-31 over Edinburgh Accies.
Special mention to Peter Knight who came out of retirement for the game, but unfortunately sustained a serious knock to the head and ended the game early. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope Mrs Knight is not too angry with him.
