Congratulations to the Bears!

The Boroughmuir Bears retained their Reserve League East 1 title with a comprehensive 41-12 win in their last game of the season.
The Bears, accompanied by around 80 supporters, travelled the short distance to Union Park to play RHC 2nd XV in what was going to be a must win game.
The Bear's closest competition on the table was Bigger 2nd XV, but a loss to Kelso A two weeks before meant the Bears had to win their last game to secure the title for the 2nd season in a row.
This league is made up by primarily 2nd XV teams from some of the great clubs in Scotland. It has been a tough season for the Bears with the high level of competition to pitch access to train due to the weather. For the Boroughmuir Bears to compete and win at this level shows the true dedication and commitment from the players and coaches to the club.
This is the Bear’s 5th League win since 2001. Well done Boroughmuir Bears! Truly one of the best 3rd XV Teams in the country, if not the best.
