This festival forms part of BRCSC’s youth development programme in the local community. The service provided to schools and the local community sees children are supported to develop skills, values and health through rugby. Boroughmuir development work also provides a link between the local community and the rugby club. Rugby Development Officer, Chris Pacey commented,

“It is an exciting time to be part of Boroughmuir Rugby and Community Sports Club, and having the Australian players attending the Rugby Festival has helped make the day memorable for the kids.”

The event saw Boroughmuir partner with Active Schools teams and young sporting leaders from local high schools in the Boroughmuir area to deliver opportunities for children to get involved in and develop themselves through sport.

The rugby development team deliver sessions to local schools, community events and the Boroughmuir Rugby Youth Section.

Boroughmuir Rugby and Community Sports Club have a strong Youth Section for children aged 5-18. For more information on Youth Rugby contact youth.rugby@boroughmuirsports.co.uk
